A stunning scene took place in a Brazilian bank this Tuesday. A woman showed up with an elderly person in a wheelchair intending to get a loan. Problem, the man, presented as his uncle, had died.
The employees couldn’t believe their eyes. This Tuesday, April 16, a barely believable incident took place in a branch of ItaĂș Unibanco, a Brazilian bank, in Rio de Janeiro. A woman tried to get an individual in a wheelchair to sign a loan. Faced with his lack of reaction, emergency services arrived urgently to note his death.
In a video of Globo TV, we can see this man, visibly unconscious in front of a counselor’s office. His eyes are wild and his head permanently lolls back. The woman with him is forced to support him, while trying to take his hand to make him sign a paper.
âSign here, as on the documentâ
Perplexed by this scene, a bank employee decided to film it with her phone. We can hear him say “I think he’s not well”, while the woman tries to convince the man she refers to as her uncle to validate the loan document: “I can’t sign for you . What I can do, I will do. Sign here, as on the document. Sign so it wonât give me any more headaches,â she says.
Emergency services were called and declared the 68-year-old man dead. Taken to the police station, the woman maintained that she was taking care of her sick uncle and that a pre-loan contract, for an amount of 17,000 Brazilian reals (around 3,000 euros), had already been validated.
But according to the Brazilian media, the police are investigating to find out if the relationship is proven and if other people helped him commit this crime. She could be prosecuted for embezzlement and âdesecration of a corpseâ.
