Three bodies were discovered in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli army. These are those of Orion Hernandez-Radoux, Michel Nissenbaum and Hanan Yablonka.
The Israeli army announced this Friday, May 24, that it had recovered in the Gaza Strip the bodies of three hostages kidnapped during the October 7 attacks. One of these bodies, recovered during the night from Thursday to Friday, is that of Franco-Mexican Orión Hernández-Radoux, aged 32.
Father of a young child, Orión Hernández-Radoux was participating in the “Tribe of Nova” electronic music festival at the time of the Hamas attacks. He was the boyfriend of Shani Louk, a 22-year-old German-Israeli woman whose the body was found and repatriated last Friday.
The other two bodies were identified as those of Michel Nissenbaum and Hanan Yablonka. “After an identification procedure carried out by doctors from the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and the Israel Police, IDF representatives informed their families during the day,” indicated on army spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
Macron expresses his “immense sadness”
According to an IDF statement, these bodies were discovered in Jabaliya, north of the Gaza Strip, during a joint operation carried out by the army and the Shin Bet, the Israeli intelligence services.
“According to reliable information in our possession, it appears that the people kidnapped were murdered during the October 7 attack and then were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists,” said Daniel Hagari.
Shortly after the announcement of the death of Orión Hernández-Radoux, Emmanuel Macron expressed his “immense sadness” on his X account.
“I am thinking of his family and his loved ones. We are at their side. France remains more than ever committed to the release of all the hostages,” he assured.
Orión Hernández-Radoux is the 43rd French victim of the attack by Hamas terrorists carried out on October 7. Two French hostages, Ofer Kalderon and Ohad Yahalomi, have now remained detained for more than seven months. In total, 121 hostages or bodies of victims kidnapped by Hamas are still detained in the Gaza Strip, according to the Israeli army.
