The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is calling on French nationals this Friday not to travel to the region, which has been plagued by high tensions since Iran’s announcement of its desire to strike Israel.

The French must “refrain” to travel to Iran, Israel, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories has just informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to AFP.

As tension continues to rise in the Middle East, after months of conflict between the Jewish state and Hamas, the French are called upon to avoid any travel to this region of the world.

The decision comes as Iran threatens to strike Israel, blamed for an April 1 attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, and was “acted in crisis meeting”, specifies the minister. He also asked for the “return of the families of diplomatic agents from Tehran” as well as the ban on missions of French civil servants in these countries.
