Find here a summary of the major information linked to the conflict of the last 24 hours:

  • American aid definitively adopted by the American Congress: during the night, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the American Senate which voted for aid to Ukraine, painfully adopted by the House of Representatives, last Saturday. • Additional help from the UK: During a visit to Poland, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced his commitment to providing an additional 500 million pounds in aid to Ukraine. The United Kingdom must provide 60 boats, more than 1,600 missiles, among other things for anti-aircraft defense, as well as long-range Storm Shadow missiles. Added to this are nearly 4 million rounds of ammunition for small arms
  • Mobilization of Ukrainians abroad: in difficulty on the front, Ukraine also faces a problem of mobilization and renewal of troops, after two years of war. With this in mind, kyiv has decided to suspend its consular services for men aged 18 to 60 living abroad, in order to encourage them to return home to fight.

GOOD MORNING

Hello and welcome to this live broadcast dedicated to the war in Ukraine. Find here all the information related to the conflict started by Russia more than two years ago.

It’s only a matter of hours: the American Congress will vote very soon on the final adoption of a huge aid plan for Ukraine, the result of months of extremely tense and laborious negotiations. The package, which also includes funds for Israel, Taiwan and an ultimatum to TikTok, could pass the Senate by the end of the day Tuesday.

“Let’s not keep our friends around the world waiting another moment,” launched Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, pleading for the imminent holding of a vote. The debates could, at the latest, stretch until Wednesday.

There is almost no doubt about its adoption: this enormous military and economic assistance program, demanded for months by President Joe Biden, benefits from the support of elected officials on both sides. It was already approved on Saturday in the House of Representatives, the scene of long and difficult negotiations.
