Ingredients

Soda

½ teaspoon

Oat milk

120 ml

Brown sugar

70 g

Vegetable oil

60 ml + for lubrication

Baking powder

2 teaspoons

Ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon

Walnuts

50 g

Preparation

  1. 1.

    Remove the pits from the dates and roughly chop the fruit. Place them in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, immediately remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Leave for 10 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a rectangular baking dish with oil. Cover the bottom with parchment.

  3. 3․

    Using a spatula, mix the date mixture with the oat milk, sugar and butter. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and chopped nuts.

  4. 4.

    Pour the dough into the mold and smooth it out. Bake for about 1 hour.

    Check readiness with a toothpick: it should remain clean.
