The families of five Israeli hostages have authorized the release of a sensitive video dating from the day the terrorist group attacked Israel. Shared by Israel’s official account on the social network
Just over three minutes long, a video, made public on May 22 by the official X account (formerly Twitter) of Israel, shows five female IDF soldiers, captured by Hamas members in the Nahal Oz base, on the border with Gaza. The images, edited to obscure the bodies of the other captives, date from October 7, the day of the bloody Hamas attack in Israel.
Frightened faces, the young women sit on the floor in blood-stained pajamas. They are tied up, before being forcefully taken into vehicles to leave the base, towards the Palestinian enclave.
Contacted by CheckNews, families of victims say Israeli army showed them these images “a few weeks earlier”. They would then have authorized their broadcast, in order to put pressure on the Netanyahu government. “The Israeli government and the international community cannot waste another moment,” demands the family collective Bring Them Home Now, which calls for a “return to the negotiating table”.
